Well, not the whole other people knowing - just one person knowing, and that was a headache enough when he explained it. Basically, I know in another universe, in another chain of events along the same span of time, different things happened. So, we're the same person in two different universes, but our lives are totally different save for the fact we're both Starfleet Captains.
