So... suppose you've been dating someone for, say, about a year. Your first anniversary's coming up, and you really want to blow them away.

[Heh, heh. It's something that's been on his mind for several days now. A whole year is a big deal for someone whose last romantic affairs ended in utter despair. Or heartbreak, at the very least.]

I've got a few ideas, but... well, I don't want to give her anything short of the best. I want it to be something she'll remember.

So, yeah, if anyone's got suggestions, I'm all ears.

No no no. It's totally a thing. First year? Paper. Second year's cotton. And so on so forth. Themed gifts, y'know?

Would multiple gifts with paper work? There's probably some kind of origami book at the library, so making a flower or something's always a possibility along with a note.

Because getting a hundred gifts at once might be a little overwhelming.

True, and Ino is pretty big on romance. Going all sap on her might be the best route, as long as I'm sincere about it... and I will be.

Well? I say go all out. A year's a long time and...getting to celebrate that anniversary with your someone special is a big deal.

Yeah, no kidding. And it's an even bigger deal for me after what happened last time I dated somebody. To go a whole year without any huge misunderstandings and heartbreaking disasters? That's an even bigger reason to celebrate, if you ask me.

I still get what you're saying. It's nice, to have something a little less complicated than what came before.

Exactly. Fall outs are never easy. It's exhausting on both sides.

Not that I've got any hard feelings towards the people involved, but it was a rough spot to say the least.
