So... suppose you've been dating someone for, say, about a year. Your first anniversary's coming up, and you really want to blow them away.

[Heh, heh. It's something that's been on his mind for several days now. A whole year is a big deal for someone whose last romantic affairs ended in utter despair. Or heartbreak, at the very least.]

I've got a few ideas, but... well, I don't want to give her anything short of the best. I want it to be something she'll remember.

So, yeah, if anyone's got suggestions, I'm all ears.

I probably wouldn't have thought of it otherwise, so I definitely appreciate it. Now I've just gotta make sure I can get the shape down just right. Flowers are a bit more complicated than boats and swords.

Since I was a kid. Wound up making a lot of basic training swords and pretending I was a pirate, a knight... Stuff like that.

I feel like most kids did. I'd honestly worry if there was a kid who never goofed off.

Yeah. Being serious all the time sounds kinda scary and really boring.

Well, I've had my moments, for better or worse. Luckily, I've got a dorky best friend who usually pulls me out of it.

For better or worse. Sora's a pretty big handful, but he's one of the strongest guys I know. Without him, I don't think I'd be where I am today.

I talked to him about Christmas, but we haven't spoken much since. But he was really friendly. How long have you two known each other?

Since we were kids. We kind of grew up together.

Really? [That's adorable.] So did he swing around a sword like you did?

Are you kidding? Sora was even more ridiculous about it than I was.

How cute. Did you two spar a lot?

All the time. Usually I kicked his butt, though.
