It's kind of crazy seeing all the newbies popping in again. Happens every two months, but whenever a cycle starts, it's like the whole village picks up speed before settling back into its usual calm. Just another part of the routine, I guess.

But it's kind of jarring, too. When it comes to people from my universe, the numbers just keep dwindling. I've already tried getting in touch with Roxas, and, well... You know what happens when filters break.

[...Sigh. Maybe he's getting a bit rambly here.]

Anyway, ice cream. I've got a ton of it that's just taking up freezer space. For any newbies and anyone else who doesn't mind hanging around the fountain, I'm more than happy to toss you a stick. With all the departures, I could probably use more socializing, anyway.

Plus, the last time I got too reclusive, Kairi strapped me to a chair.

But after leaving his message, Riku can be found hanging around the fountain with a box of sea salt ice cream. Not his favorite flavor, but he had to try it at least once. He's also joined by his Komory Bat, who will greet newcomers with enthusastic squeaks and quite possibly hover circles around them. He's kind of enthusiastic.

It's kind of a funny contrast between him and Riku, now a young adult in much milder colored clothes. Even he's a bit baffled by how much he's changed in hindsight.]

Sea salt huh. Well, I'm willing to try anything once. Fountain you said, right?

That's right. Just keep your eyes peeled for the candy colored bat, and it shouldn't be too hard to track me down.

[And, sure enough, that little bat's still fluttering around, while Riku bites into a sea salt ice cream bar. Hopefully Demi-Fiend won't have too much trouble spotting them, given Sonar's eye searing coat.]

[Does make Naoki more on guard, though he comes alone without Cerberus, fearful the demon might eat the bat, or get into a pointless chase. Either way, Naoki comes, staring at the bat.]

Demons really come in weirder colors lately.

Well, he's not exactly a demon. More like a Spirit.

[Not that Sonar really sees reason to complain. He's just gonna do what he's done with every other new person... flutter around with a ridiculous grin. It's practically a ritual with him now.]

Never saw much difference between them both.

[Not that Naoki is angry about it as he watches the little critter. The creature did look cute at least.]

At any rate, you said something about ice cream?

I sure did. And lucky for you, there's still a ton left.

[He motions over to the box of sea salt and some of the chocolate crunch bars he dragged out for good measure.]

Chocolate...crunch...

[Don't mind Naoki, he's now a bit hypnotized, whatever stoic expression he had seemed to fade when he saw one of his favorite ice cream types. Felt like years since he tasted that particular flavor.]

[He sees that longing expression and promptly laughs.]

Hey, knock yourself out. Wouldn't want to hog it all, anyway.

[Besides, if he doesn't get these passed out soon, he'll have to blast 'em with another Blizzaga spell.]

[Naoki wastes no time, throwing caution to the wind. He gives only the briefest of glances before digging in to find the chocolate crunch.

After unwrapping the wrapper, he takes a bite, looking rather painful to a normal human, yet he looked pleased instead of suffering a brainfreeze.]

[But he figures that's not the cause. Some people just really like their sweets, and who's he to judge for something like that?]

Well, not good food before I got here.

[Least here though, normal food was common, and good food at that. This was absolutely nothing compared to the restaurants he binged on before.]

Rotten or stale food, unless something good was a slightly preserved or still in a bag.
