It's kind of crazy seeing all the newbies popping in again. Happens every two months, but whenever a cycle starts, it's like the whole village picks up speed before settling back into its usual calm. Just another part of the routine, I guess.

But it's kind of jarring, too. When it comes to people from my universe, the numbers just keep dwindling. I've already tried getting in touch with Roxas, and, well... You know what happens when filters break.

[...Sigh. Maybe he's getting a bit rambly here.]

Anyway, ice cream. I've got a ton of it that's just taking up freezer space. For any newbies and anyone else who doesn't mind hanging around the fountain, I'm more than happy to toss you a stick. With all the departures, I could probably use more socializing, anyway.

Plus, the last time I got too reclusive, Kairi strapped me to a chair.

But after leaving his message, Riku can be found hanging around the fountain with a box of sea salt ice cream. Not his favorite flavor, but he had to try it at least once. He's also joined by his Komory Bat, who will greet newcomers with enthusastic squeaks and quite possibly hover circles around them. He's kind of enthusiastic.

It's kind of a funny contrast between him and Riku, now a young adult in much milder colored clothes. Even he's a bit baffled by how much he's changed in hindsight.]

[Seriously, Zatanna's got images of the ice cream man in her head here. It's pretty funny to picture, especially the part where Riku ends up in a Good Humor uniform.]

So someone had to put you in a chair to help you make friends. Was there a sign over your head too? "Please talk to me" or something like that?

Well, you could always try to join the S.O.S. Brigade. Haruhi will either run you ragged or keep you highly entertained and forcibly sociable. Maybe all of the above.

So I couldn't bail. Keeping me strapped down and out in the open meant that I'd have no choice but to socialize.

Nah, it was taking it pretty far, but... Well, it's not like I haven't gotten into crazier messes with my friends before.

I'm not so sure what can be more crazy than that.. no, let me put that in a different way. I have some ideas of crazier things, but they're not exactly stuff people would normally do with friends.

Riku snorts, scooping out an ice cream bar. That's what he's here for, after all.]

[Jeb misses the message on the journals. However, he's been doing a lot of walking around the village lately because while he isn't the most physically fit person, not exercising isn't exactly going to help his case. And so, he still runs into Riku hanging around the fountain and approaches. Then he notices the Komory Bat. His enthusiasm makes Jeb laugh a little.]

[Oooh, new person! New person! Sonar chirps and starts swaying from side to side. You seem nice! But then, he thinks everybody seems nice.

Needless to say, Jeb's not the only one laughing at his enthusiasm. Soon Riku pushes himself up from the fountain and moseys on over.]

Hope he's not too overwhelming.

Yep. She and Sora tag teamed me and even threw in a tacky apron and baked goods for good measure.

[He says it with a fairly relaxed tone, as if it's just standard business for their trio.]

Basically, they tied me down to a chair with a frilly apron and a table packed with cupcakes and cookies... right in the center of town. It was a long, long day.
