[He pauses abruptly at the sight of the Keyblade. She wasn't kidding, but then... heh. This'll make things interesting.

While Xion has a Keyblade, Riku's just got a generic sword. Disadvantaged? Maybe, but he's not too worried right now.]

[Slipping into his battle stance as well. Should be interesting, since the last time she fought him he's the one who prevailed.]

[ ah, but she's drawing on a different boy's power, now. ... plus, dude, you bitty compared to your scary older self.

when he doesn't take the initiative, Xion finally smiles a little, then runs at him with a yell, Keyblade raised. ]

[Just as planned. Rather than immediately attack, Riku, jumps out of the way. His jump is so ridiculous-- but anyway, once he lands? That's when he charges.]

[ what. that was ridiculous. WILL NOT LAUGH instead meets his charge with a block. something seems to abruptly occur to her when she does, though, making her hesitate for a second before jumping back. ]

You know ... I don't know how I didn't realize it before, but you're tall. Like the Riku I remember...

[ smiles a little bit more and rushes in again for a series of strikes. ]

[BLOCK, BLOCK, now watch him try to break the combo and counter attack--]

[ c-c-c-combo break! she parries his blow off to the side so it just baaaaarely misses her, then goes right back on the counter attack. they're pretty even so far. ]

--but even though your timeline is different, you look and sound just like him. Except for the hair.

[And again he'll do that ridiculously high jump out of the way, even stopping to wave his sword as if taunting her. c:]

I might be as old as him, but we're not the same. Long as I'm here, I've got no plans to let the darkness control me.

[ why you! she sticks out her tongue at him and just charges after him, going in for a quick strike before doing her own leap back, out of range. with his comment, the thought "but he was stronger" comes unbidden to her mind, but she keeps a lid on it. ]

It's only in appearance! Your personalities couldn't be any more different. If I didn't know any better, I might really think it you were two different people...

[ hey have another C-C-COMBO attack. ]

So, what? You'd rather I act like a hermit?

[--Block, blo-- ACK. Okay, this time she manages to nail him. However, know that nasty move on Destiny Islands where he flings his feet forward? Yeah. Doing that now.]

[ o-ow. that knocks her back because WAS NOT EXPECTING, and she stumbles a bit, laughing and winded. ]

[ but pink in the face. probably just from the exertion, though. she's going to pull a strangely Sora-like move and go for a jumping slash. ]

[So Riku's gonna try and hit her as she's coming down. Yup.]

[ pulls her blow at the last moment and ducks low, instead sweeping her Keyblade for his knees. these are not her normal moves and she knows it. when she speaks again it's a bit subdued. ]

That's the one thing that stayed the same... both of you helped me, despite what I am.

... I guess that's the point. It never really seemed to bother you, though it should have... especially before.

[ she's the one waiting, this time, for his attack. ]

[ Her thoughts are elsewhere -- like on the Keyblade she's holding -- and her reaction is a split second too late. owwwwwwwww. makes a noise of frustration and retaliates, moving quickly to counter combo. ]

[ lashes out without thinking, pushing back against his block HARD and striking much quicker than before. ]

[Before he can say anything, he takes the hit full on, flying back and hitting the ground with a thud. He winces, slowly getting back up, though this time he doesn't make a move to attack.]

Whatever happens, we'll figure something out. For now, just... don't worry. Sora's fine, you're fine...so relax.
